Melasma, also known as chloasma, is increased pigmentation of the face in people with darker skin. It has a genetic basis and is influenced by sunlight and hormonal factors. It appears in pregnant women, women using hormonal contraception, and in cases of estrogen-producing tumors. Melasma manifests as a brown, sharply defined, flat spot on the skin of the face, particularly on the forehead, temples, and cheeks. It becomes more pronounced after exposure to sunlight, laser treatment, or chemotherapy. Skin spots can also appear with age or during sun exposure in combination with certain medications, foods, perfumes, and other cosmetic products.
Vermione Alpha Cream is primarily designed for wrinkles and hydration, but especially for correcting pigment spots caused by adverse factors such as aging, UV radiation, tanning beds, laser treatments, or pigmentation resulting from chemotherapy.
