Herpes is a viral infectious disease caused by a member of the Herpesviridae family, the herpes simplex virus. These are viruses that are able to survive for a long time in an infected organism. A distinction is made between herpes simplex virus-1, which causes herpes of the lip, and herpes simplex-2, which causes genital herpes. The latter is localised on the vulva, in the vagina or, more rarely, on the cervix. Genital herpes is becoming increasingly important in pregnant women because of possible infection of the foetus.
Herpes of the lip is first manifested by pain, itching or burning of the part of the lip on which the red pimple appears. Over time, this turns into a blister with clear contents and a large amount of virus, and therefore, when it ruptures, the person becomes highly infectious. Once it ruptures, it turns into a brownish-red scab which usually falls off on its own within 10 days. It is not recommended to scrape it off because of possible scarring. The lip ulcer is accompanied by swelling of the cervical lymph nodes. Genital herpes has the same clinical picture, but the inguinal lymph nodes are swollen.
Enzymes that penetrate the lowest layer of skin tissue. They activate on contact with the viral disease found and begin to heal the virus-damaged skin layers. They therefore work towards the surface of the skin and thus heal the viral bed of the cold sore until the final surface pushing and healing of the fissure and inflammation on the lip. Depending on the extent of the size, a 1 – 2 day deterioration of the condition or the production of additional virus in the form of a cold sore can be expected. This will cause complete healing of the skin tissues and cold sores will no longer form repeatedly.
In the case of vaginal (vaginal) herpes, it is a bacterial disease and therefore it is necessary to rub the affected areas twice a day. It can be applied during pregnancy as Vermione replaces treatment with antibiotics and corticosteroids.
Recommended Application: Apply locally to affected areas twice daily.
