Scars develop after skin injuries. When deeper layers of the skin are affected, a scab initially forms in the wound, which eventually disappears, leaving a scar in its place. Scars can be categorized into three groups based on their appearance: hypertrophic, atrophic, and keloid scars. Surgical scars occur after nearly every surgical procedure, and it’s essential to ensure their proper healing.
Damaged cells initiate the healing process with every injury. When a blood clot forms in the wound, it hardens and turns into a scab, serving as protection for the healing skin. When only the upper layers are injured, the skin typically heals without a trace.
A proven method for treating fresh wounds involves using Vermione STRONG. It is highly effective in maintaining cleanliness and closure of the incision. It should be applied directly to the surgical wound starting from the second postoperative day, twice daily, typically for 5 to 7 days. After applying Vermione Strong, it is recommended to follow up with the moisturizing Vermione Beta cream, applying it 3 to 4 times daily to the wound and surrounding area until a satisfactory condition is achieved. The result is often a soft, uncolored, inconspicuous scar at the site of the previous wound.
Some patients, especially mothers, may benefit from using Vermione products to correct already healed wounds, particularly episiotomies after vaginal births, which can lead to unpleasant sensations of pulling, tension, or even pain during intercourse or bowel movements. Application can help soften and release the scar. The same approach can be used to influence scars on the abdominal wall or elsewhere.
Recommended Application: Apply Vermione STRONG cream 3 to 4 times daily, followed by Vermione BETA cream 2 to 3 times daily.
